Welcome to the web home of The Gulf Coast Woodturners Association (GCWA), serving Houston, southeast Texas and the upper Gulf Coast. We have over 175 members who live from Lake Charles to Columbus, and Galveston to College Station. Our club has been affiliated of the American Association of Woodturners for over 20 years, and we are one of the oldest organizations dedicated to woodturning in Texas. We meet the third Saturday of every month, rotating our meeting locations around the Houston metropolitan area to accomodate our widely-spaced membership. Our meetings run from 9:00 to noon, and include a demonstration, instant gallery and raffle. Please check the Calendar on this website, or the current newsletter, for specific meeting details. The mission of the GCWA is to further the art and craft of woodturning in all its forms though education, community outreach and a shared sense of the beauty of the turned form. Our community of turners encourages the development of skills and techniques that helps interested artists achieve their potential. The GCWA sponsors the largest club-organized woodturning retreat in the nation each May, with hands-on classes offered by skilled craftspeople to dozens of students. We encourage the artistic and career development of wood artists through regular instant gallery critiques, museum shows and juried exhibitions. Please come and visit us, visitors and novices are always welcome. GCWA is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, the largest organization in the world dedicated to the advancement of woodturning. Please direct comments and

Another option is to just print out a hard
copy after you fill it out, or there is always the
old-fashioned way of printing out the blank form and fill it
in by hand and either snail-mail it to Ed or hand deliver it
to him at the April meeting.
