Faces In the Crowd and Other Pictures
If it's December, then it it's also
Christmas ornament exchange at GCWA!

Christmas ornament exchange wouldn't be the same without GCWA's own
Jonathan Bartz, who did another great job coordinating the event. |

By the time the exchange actually occurred, everyone had picked their
favorite ornament. |

One side of Bill and Susan Lewis' entry. |

The other side. |

A good picture of the exchange tree. |

A good crowd was in attendance at December's meeting in Jim Keller's
spacious Foxfire Studio. |

One of the reasons for the good turnout was the prospect of winning a
RINCON lathe in the raffle. Here Reggie Keith is shown with a similar
lathe on which he did December's demo. |

Demo watchers. |

David Morley and Jay Ebner couldn't sell raffle tickets fast
enough. |

Eventually, the crowd became boisterous and riot
police had to be called in to restore order!.. |

Tom Hamilton shared his development technique with the crowd as MC Bill
Berry looks on. |

Doug Olesen talked about his prize-winning entry. |

Brian Laing told the crowd how he made his first
place Advanced Category box. |

New member, Eddie James, didn't waste any time proving that he's
mastered the art of segmented turning. |
